The play equipment at Vets Park (64th Street & Portland Avenue) is scheduled to be removed and replaced in 2014. The project is included in the 2014 capital improvement budget (funded by liquor store profits). Replacing play equipment is important for safety, maintenance, and design reasons; the current equipment was installed in 1990.
